Jamiyl Peters brings a wealth of experience in legislative affairs and public policy to Novel Strategies. With a strong background in congressional operations and advocacy, he has built a career advancing initiatives that strengthen communities and promote equitable governance.

In prior roles, Jamiyl worked at another major public affairs firm in Washington, D.C., where he played a key role in federal government relations. He previously served eight years as Senior Legislative Assistant to Congressman Donald Payne, Jr. (D-NJ), supporting the Congressman’s work on the House Committee on Homeland Security and the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure. Earlier in his career, Jamiyl worked with the Newark Municipal Council during Payne’s municipal council presidency, focusing on local policy and community initiatives.

Jamiyl has a degree in Political Science from Williams College.
