John Moffett is a Vice President at Novel Strategies, leading state and federal engagement from Charleston. He brings broad experience in government advocacy, grassroots mobilization, and strategic communications for corporate, nonprofit, and political clients.

Before joining Novel, John served as a Vice President at Mercury Public Affairs and previously led state efforts for the Land and Water Conservation Fund Coalition, helping secure passage of the Great American Outdoors Act. He has also held senior roles on congressional and presidential campaigns, including work for Joe Cunningham, Beto O’Rourke, and President Obama’s 2012 campaign.

John is a graduate of the College of Charleston and spent six months in Lebanon with the René Moawad Foundation, a social and economic development NGO.
